I love images, so I thought I’d add a post with some visuals for you. The black Honda scooter shown above is our ‘Phantom Scooter,’ the one that I have written about but had neglected to post a picture of, until now. Next is a snapshot of our collapsed garage at the base of the property. After one of the larger storms, we woke to see the aftermath of the winds and rain, our sunken structure. We are hoping to salvage the roof, and will be rebuilding the garage in the near future. The next photo features Maiya Eheler as she is modeling her dad’s birthday gift: a set of Cornhole boards. Levi and Liz made the two boards for Jason’s birthday, and Rose Penwell helped me sew up some toss bags to complete the game. So the Midwestern game of Cornhole has gone international and is now being played by Canadians and Filipinos in Olongapo. Last but not least was Jason’s big birthday surprise: a party sized BBQ grill. The project was started a while back by Lee Dewetter, a Canadian friend of the Eheler’s, but he left before he could complete the grill. In secret, John and John finished welding the grill, then painted it black and spiffed it up just in time for Jason’s birthday cookout. It was a major hit – the chicken was delicious!
