Togetherness

Our first year of marriage has been filled with many wonderful memories. It has been a period of growth for the two of us, as we have shared here. And the celebration of our anniversary was a special getaway for me and John to revisit our ‘honeymoon.’ We went back to the Lighthouse, but instead of Maine, he took me to the beautiful Subic Bay. We uploaded a new collection of photographs for the month of October in Olongapo, including our anniversary pictures and the new bathroom that we just finished installing at the temporary clinic. Small and compact, it fits the need perfectly.

Since our arrival here in Olongapo, an estimated 40 births have taken place at the Mercy Midwives clinic on Bennet Road. Many times, the ladies come in to deliver in sets of twos and threes at a time. The expansion that we have done has nearly doubled the working space at the clinic, and the new bathroom was a very good addition. There are now two working bathrooms at the clinic to help keep up with the ever expanding demand.

It is a pleasure to serve Jesus Christ here in Olongapo. A more detailed update is soon forthcoming, and will give an outline of the new list of projects that we will be working on in the coming months. All glory to Christ, the mover and shaker of His kingdom.
